Wow, it was sure hot outside yesterday!  At 5:30 am when I headed out it was already 80 degrees!  I pushed through 5 miles but should have had some coconut water with me instead of just plain water.  By the time I got done I was starving (once again, I think there is a trend here and I need to eat something light right at 5 am when I get up) and felt kinda sick.  Once I had some protein powder with coconut water I was feeling much better.

I opted to sleep in a bit this am (threat of storms and was caught in one two weeks ago – don’t need that again) and will be heading out soon to get my 3 miles done.  Good thing it is only 82 now, lol, but I am well fed and only have 3 miles to do.

How does everyone try and beat the heat when running?  Im thinking I will start keeping coconut water in my bottle to help replenish the necessary nutrients that I’m sweating out in addition to maybe starting a bit earlier.
